That's one reason that I come to this board. I know I don't have the sobriety time most of the posters have here, but I feel if I can share even one thing about how I am staying sober and it helps even one person who has less sobriety time, that's a good thing.

YES BTY, ... that IS a good thing ... do you know why ???

I was in a meeting one time where this guy shared that a new person came in, and during the discussion period, this guy stood up and asked who had what sobriety times ... ... ...

there were several there with +10 years, 5 years 2 years and one year ... ... ... then one guy said he had 3 days ... the new guy said you, with the 3 days, how the hell did you go 3 days without a drink ??? ... ... ... SEE, this new guy could not fathom anyone going 'years' without a drink ... BUT, he could picture maybe going 3 days and wanted desperately to know how to get 3 days ...

So you see clearly, one doesn't have to have 'years, in order to help others ... a few days can be the key to start helping others in the 'now' ... ... ...
