I'm Grateful For This Board

It amazes me that I don't having the cravings for alcohol like I did. I am not going to question it, but enjoy it one day at a time and continue to work the program. I have been sick with the flu and have missed AA meetings. I have been coming to this board more than I usually do and that has helped me this week. I had a fear that if I ever had to miss even one meeting, the desire to drink would overwhelm me and that has not been the case. I realize that this board is not the same as face to face meetings, but I am grateful for it and the posters here for support.

I know it is such a nice day when we realize we have been given the gift of freedom from active alcoholism. Now we simply honor that gift one day at a time, and be a good steward to it.

My sponsor used to say to me, that gratitude is the hallmark of every good recovery. Nice to see your posts.
