How was your Christmas?

Hi everyone,

I took a trip to Georgia for Christmas to spend it with my sister and her husband.  Watched a few movies on the road, from my tablet on the dashboard.  LOL They really put together a really nice dinner for me and my lady friend.  Then gave us a really nice surprise... a high end hotel room with a jacuzzi!

Now if that isn't the gift to remember...  LOL  Sober living is so good! :)

I hope everyone had a great holiday, and that it will be one you remember for years into the future.

I tried to kill myself about 20 years ago this Dec. 26th: I am still here, with more to live for now. I was sober for 3 and a half years once :once: did it all on my own and it was easy: my brother now tells me that was a gift, it gets harder every time. I was once a special ed teacher and I saved lives : now I need to save my own.

I stayed sober. Worked the steps. Worked through some pain. Read the Big Book because I couldn't get to a meeting. At the time it was tough but looking back because I can remember that day it was the best Christmas I've had in years even if it is only because I remember it.

John, Beautiful lady, beautiful home and beautiful Jacuzzi (hey, fella, couldn't you have at least made up the bed for that one shot? (Just kidding, John )

Bebe, as they say in AA (and on this board)...."Keep coming back". That is awesome how you helped others and you are right about saving yourself now. It is your turn to take care of you!
