On a bitterly cold winter morning a husband and wife were listening to the radio during breakfast. They heard the announcer say,
"We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the Snow plows can get through". So the good wife went out and moved her car. A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snow plows can get through". The good wife went out and moved her car again. The next week they are again having breakfast, when the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park......." Then the electric power went out. The good wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face she said, "I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on so the snow plows can get through?" Then with the love and understanding in his voice that all men who are married exhibit, the husband replied, Why don't you just leave the flipping car in the garage this time."

That wife sounds like me, too, sorry to say. Not much for common sense I'm afraid and end up doing things the longest, hardest way instead of the simplest. Great post, Pappy!
Hey Jerry...I started to give Pappy a hard time for this, but then thought I'd be outnumbered on this board with so many guys, so took a different approach. (Told you all I've always been a people pleaser and that really sounded like something I'd do
Ha!!! ... this one reminded me of some good blonde jokes of times past ... figured I was in enough trouble already ... am bracing myself for the 'Tash', LOL ... she's a good egg though ... i think she can handle it ... unless of course she's done this before ... LMAO at myself again ... (sorry Tash)

Did you get that snow Pappy? It rained a lot yesterday, but is clear now. Not too cold considering the time of year. And speaking of ice cream. I read a while back that ice cream sales go up a lot during the wintertime...and it seems I started getting more ice cream when it started getting colder here.
Well BTY, ... it's 32 degrees and heavy overcast here ... no snow though, not yet ...
and 'ice cream' is good anytime, anywhere, no matter the outside temp, LOL ... Oh, and since we've been in the moving process, I have not maintained my stock of ice cream in the freezer ... AND this equivalates to me losing 28 lbs the last 2 months ... well, that and all the physical activity I guess ... my doctor down in Georgia would've been pleased ...

Brrrrr Pappy. That's cold. It was in the 40's here. I agree with you about the ice cream. You know, I didn't eat the stuff for years and then when I stopped drinking, I started on it and really have to watch myself. I am like a kid in a candy store walking through the ice cream freezer isle. There are so many flavors now that I don't remember back when I used to eat it. 28 pounds in 2 months? Wow! I'll be seeing you doing those weight loss commercials if you keep that up...I am getting so tired of that Osmond girl (hope that doesn't sound mean--she has to earn a living, too.) And....if I keep eating it and goodies I have been making for the meetings, I'll be the "before" picture on one of them
LOL BTY, ... I want to be like the guy in the 'Subway' sandwich commercials ... ate his way to losing a ton of weight ... NOW, if that only worked with 'ice cream', then I'd truly be in 'heaven', LOL ...
Oh, it was 19 degrees here this a.m. ... take that Tasha!!! ... ... ... HeeeHeee!!!

I couldn't live there either. I start shivering so bad my teeth start chattering when it nears 30 here. I have to wrap blankets on top of me to go out and take a smoke break. Last night I didn't have blankets to take smokies during the AA dance, but kept looking at my knees knocking together and wishing I could wave my cigarette like a wand and turn my dress into a pair of jeans.
