Oh man, it's been forever since I made a 'rubber band gun' ... there were so many options ... I need to make one just for the heck of it ... I used to kill flies with them ... LOL

So far a plastic push mower, used to chase big sister around the house with is the favorite toy!
Those were the days, that is the saying.
But right now, these are the days.
I am so glad my daughter has a good husband. A real family man. Funny really. I wanted to be that, but alcohol stole it. I never really looked at it that way. Funny how time and perspective changes things. Today it is great to actually be able to feel loved. That was something that took a long time.
I am surrounded by family that loves me. It is true. It happened. And it all started with being willing. It still is clear in my mind how it was a tough choice for so long... Humble myself to admit defeat and accept AA, or continue on drinking till the end.
What a powerful disease alcoholism is. Undeniable. And then a Higher and Greater power stepped in.
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the day.

My daughter built forts, caves, houses out of however many blankets we had available as well as chairs and boxes. She would take a bunch of her favorite books and stuffed animals and crawl in her newly "built" special place. Sometimes I was fortunate enough to get an invite. A lot of times it was hard to get my adult body into her "castle" but it was fun going back to my own childhood days. This post brought back a lot of memories and thanks for sharing.
