O God, as the day returns and brings us the silly Rounds of irritating duties, help me perform Them with laughter and a kind face. Let cheerfulness overflow in my work; Give me joy during my business all this day; Bring me to my resting bed tired and content And grant me the gift of sleep.

Laughter is good and I have found that each day I continue to stay away from the alcohol and can go to bed and wake up sober, I have found more things in my life to be happy about as well as to laugh about.
Love this post and thanks again, Pappy.
There's an old, old 'Gorilla joke' that popped into mind this a.m. that I haven't thought about for years ... if you're interested, let me know ... and I'll try and post it a little later ...

I love jokes, Pappy! I loved that one about the nuns I read a few days ago on this board. I tried to share it before one of the meetings, but managed to forget some of it, so didn't get too many laughs. (Always have been bad at remembering punch lines).
Would keep my eyes open for your gorilla joke if you post it.
