Dag-gumit, ... ... ... I woke up to 40 degrees this a.m. ... ... ... had to turn the frick'n heat on ... can't you be a good girl and keep that 'cold' stuff up there where it belongs ???

It's supposed to be around 72 this time of year, for a high ... we're struggling to get to 52 today AND IT'S SUPPOSED TO 'FREEZE' tonight ... Dag-nabbit, I had to bring my big plants in ... but the house is clean for 'showing' and this puts a dent in my plans ... ... ...

It's all YOUR fault ... LOL

I seriously don't understand you people up north, how can you stand the long cold Winters ??? ... Dean is the most sensible one here, well, sorry Jerry, I think you got a great idea of living on an island ... LOL ... this makes me wish I were going to live with Jerry now ... plus, ... they got Hula girls in grass skirts !!!

Hi Pappy, Tasha, Dean, and everyone.  I've lived in the middle of Iowa all my life, and have always loved how everything changes all the time.  Never a dull moment here weather-wise.  I'll probably never leave.  One thing I should add, though, is that our daughter, who went to college in Wisconsin, and is now working in Miami Beach, could be trying to tell me something.  Kids are often smarter than their parents.  LOL.  Blessings to all....Mike D.

LOL - where did she go to school? I went to several of the universities - but always the northern ones. My sister is at Madison, and even that is a bit warmer than where I am - bleck!

Hi Tasha!  Our daughter graduated from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, in Appleton, Wisconsin.  She totally LOVED it there!!  Awesome school!!  She then got her Masters Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory.  She now plays for a symphony in Miami Beach.  She plays Tenor and Alto Trombone.  Yes......we're proud of her.  Mike D.

Mikef, ... I'm trying real hard not to be envious ... just looking at your avatar, and me sitting here with my 'long-johns' on, LOL ... ... ... I turned 61 this month and I swear I can't handle the cold like I used to ... I like the freedom of 'naked' too much I think, LOL ... ... ... although at this age I've got less to show (and I ain't sure why that seems funny to me now, LOL) ... even getting shorter now ... why is that ??? ... I've even changed to 'hot coffee' rather than 'iced Tea' in the afternoon now ...

All kidding aside, I do like the 4 different and distinct seasons here, and they're all pretty equalled out timewise ... just seems that's the way it ought to be I guess ... sorry, I had to rag someone, so I decided to pull Tasha's chain this time ... she's a big girl and can handle it, LOL ... (oh please don't put a spin on the term 'big girl' .... that's all I need ...)(she knows what I mean, ha!)
