Welcome to MIP Butch, ... glad you found us and decided to join us ...
On this 'info' you're thinking of ... Is it for yourself, or is it for a group or groups of AA'rs ??? ... If you just need a little something for yourself, then at most any meeting, literature is available for free and/or 'purchase at cost' ... ... ... if you're looking for a small stack of info, for a group, then you might stop by your local 'AA Central Office' and see what they have that they'll let you have ...
Plus, there's a ton of stuff available over the internet ... ... ...
Hope this helps ...
Have a safe trip and God Bless, Pappy
P.S. Since this is a 'spiritual program' ... I highly recommend reading the 'non-AA' book 'The Shack' by William P. Young ... it will take you on the journey of a lifetime ... (it's the second 1/2 of that book that'll grab you by the uh, uh, ... well, it just grab ya and take you on a very enlightening journey ... you won't forget it ... maybe this is what you were talking about? ...

hi butch,
wish I could help you. I am a newbie. hope you have a great time on your cruise. (Bermuda, sigh....hear it is going to be in the 30's where I am this week. )
in the 30's. !! Bermuda is looking even better. here in balto. it is about 58 degrees. the weather here like the rest of the world has not been stable. where are you located?
Hi Butch, welcome to MIP. A member of my home group said some of the best AA meetings he's been to are on cruise ships. I would check with the social director (or whatever they call them) about if & when meetings are held. I'm guessing you're not going to be the only recovering alcoholic on the ship. The Bahamas.......Enjoy yourself & stop back in, let us know how it goes. Peace

Most ships offer them...Friends of Bill is usually what they call them...It will be on the door. Check with your cruise director or information dept....I think you'll find them available. Happy Sober Cruising! Nice thing is you'll be able to wake up early and enjoy the day and activities...And you'll even be able to remember it.

I went on my first cruise this summer and was thrilled to see "Friends of Bill" as a listed activity every evening at 4pm. Very discreet to anyone who didn't know the language :) Good luck and have lots of fun!

Hi Butch, hey a cruise sounds fun. Bet you'll have a great time. While I've never been on a cruise ship myself, I've heard others say that there are usually meetings held on board, and you shouldn't have much trouble finding them.
By the way, let me tell you what happened with me when I took my 10 year old daughter to Glenwood Springs, CO. quite a few years ago. Upon our arrival, I asked the hotel desk clerk about any A.A. meetings that might be in the area, and he said he'd try to find out. Check back later. So, we went out to enjoy the hot springs pool for a while. I wasn't really worried about missing a meeting that weekend, but I did want to attend one, if possible. As I was soaking in the very crowded and very noisy pool with hundreds of people all talking at once, I suddenly heard two guys talking about 50 feet away. For some odd reason, I could clearly hear every word of their conversation above all the noise around me. I distinctly heard them use A.A. slogans and familiar phrases in their conversation. I began following their voices and soon found them....still talking in our familiar A.A. lingo. As I approached them, I introduced myself and asked them if they were "Friends of Bill". After they assured me they were, I asked if they knew of a meeting that I could go to that evening. They told me about an open 7:00 pm meeting about a half a block from our hotel. "Just walk over to that alley and you'll see people standing outside a door with white styrofoam coffee cups and cigarettes. That's where the meeting is", they said. They were right. I found the meeting easily.....the styrofoam cups were my signal. The folks there were glad to see me and took us out to coffee afterwards. I think it might've been a God-Deal. Anyway, that's how it happened that I found a meeting in beautiful Glenwood Springs. Blessings, Mike D.
Butch, I had one of the best AA groups that med every day on my last cruse. They do advertise as "friends of bill" in your daily activities print out that the cruise sends out to you in your room daily. Usually the meetings are scheduled to meet 90 percent of the time in the sanctuary of the ship. You guys can also agree to meet at different timess and/or more frequently which is what we did on that cruise. On another cruise, I went and nobody showed up. I used that time as my own literature meeting. I read books and used it as meditation time for 1 hour similar to a meeting. It was not ideal but was okay. It's a gamble. Usually people do go to the meetings. Remember, if you get annoyed with the omnipresence of alcohol, you can always go to your room.

Bermuda was my favorite cruise ever. And it's not a huge party cruise.
Every day, you will get a printout in your cabin about the day's activities. Meetings will be listed in it.
If you are a soft drink drinker, most cruise lines offer a package where you can pay like $35 and have unlimited soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages. I drink a lot of Diet Coke, and it was a good value for me.
Bermuda has a ferry that you can buy a pass for, and you can do that to get around the island. It has like 7 stops, and you can get on and off where you want. It's also a lot of fun to rent mopeds and see the island. I cruised on Celebrity, and our ship docked first in Hamilton, then moved to St. David's Island for a day. Both places, you could walk right off the ship and be where all the shops and restaurants are. I felt very safe walking around all by myself in Bermuda. It's very nice there. A lot of islands, there will be obnoxious people aggressively trying to sell you their crap, but they aren't like that in Bermuda.
I've been on many cruises. Listed as "Friends of Bill W" usually in the daily activity sheet. Make sure you go to the first meeting, because in my experience sometimes they drop off as the cruise goes on. That way you can meet up with other alcoholics and exchange information. On one cruise, I went to the first meeting, went back to my room and as I was leaning over my balcony looked to my right and there was a guy who was in the meeting, ha! what are the chances of that happening? We had some good talks out on our baconies.
