hi all, i have been checking out the different posts... just read about AA gossip. gossip is so destructive. each person has to decide for their own growth to stop it or walk away from it. if it builds someone up, it is not gossip. if it builds the teller up at someone elses expense it is gossip.
there is a saying "great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people." how about adding this, only ignorant or evil people gossip. i know i shouldn't judge so will just call it an observation .... there are much better things to do than gossip or entertain gossip.
here in northern california we are getting ready for an early winter. but no matter where i am, working the AA steps keeps me sober, my service work keeps me busy and happy. it don't get any better than that, friends.
Love your post Sheila ... ... ... think I'll copy your 'saying' above and use it the next time this becomes an issue at a meeting, and I'm sure it will, LOL ... wherever there are spiritually sick people, you usually find gossipers among them ... just what I've seen!!! ...
