I learned a new slogan from my sponsor!

Okay, most of you know me pretty well by now, well, my sponsor knows me even better ... LOL ... so when I was having a 'bad' day a couple weeks ago, my sponsor told me this new slogan that helped 'turn my day around' ... thought I would share it since the thread about 'gossip' recently appeared ...

 

"Don't sweat the petty things ... and ...  don't pet the sweaty things" ... 

 

I guess you had to be there! ... I hate when people throw their 'smart ass' quips at me, but I love throwing them out to others, LOL ... I know most of you will get a chuckle considering who this is from ... love ya'll ... now, where's my 'milk and cookies' ??? ... time for nightie-night ...

I love the fact that when I try to make a 'big deal' out of something, my sponsor will say something like this just to get me, out of me, LOL ... he knows how to 'bring me back down to earth' ... I love'em ... ... ... he can bring a smile to my face in any situation, and THEN, I know everything is going to be okay!!!

My mother, 38 years sober, likes to say "Under every skirt, there is a slip!" <--- truest thing I've heard yet, and #1 cause of relapse.  biggrin

was sober 14 weeks & my sponsors best mate came out with this one , on a day that was

worse than my "rockbottom"

It has stuk with me for 27 years.
