Been a Long Time... Had to Check In

     HI Family!  Victoria here.  It has been a few months and I wanted to check in about why that is.  

     My first piece of news is I am still sober.  Celebrated twenty months sober on the twelfth of this month.

     Next piece of news is I found full time work as a merchandise supervisor at a local Walmart Neighborhood Market.  My daughter and I have medical and dental!  (I are a big kid now.)  And my daughter is enjoying the wonderful benefits of licensed child care.

     Final piece of news is....drum roll please...we are moving into our own apartment today!  After months and months of living in shelters, living with friends and just barely really living, Sophia and I are moving into our own.  I found an apartment manager who was willing to work with me and God opened her heart to do just that.

     So today I am busy, busy, busy but I am also happy, happy, happy!

     Love you all.  Will check in again soon (and more frequently).

Oh yeah, and I quit smoking cigarettes on the ninth of August!

Solano Gypsy...That is one hopeful share.  The program works when you work it...Your journey was certainly rocky and you kept the faith and I am grateful you brought it here.  Congradulations for the consequences of your recovery work.  I'm grinnin cause I love to hear about miracles and you are one.  I'm sure you're giving it away to others like you are here at MIP.   Mahalo Nui (thanks so much)   ((((hugs)))) smile

Hey Victoria, ... I just have to 'echo' what Mike , Jerry, and Ruby have already said ... we missed you and Congrats on 20 months ... you're going through some big chnages and to remain sober can be a challenge ... good job ... OH, and congrats on the 'smoking' deal ... I'm impressed ... ... ... AND happy for you ... now if I could just quit, LOL ...
