We are where we are for a reason. As long as that reason remains, we remain where we are. If we aren't where we think we should be, working the program will help us get to where our deepest self longs to be. This is growth.
And growth is work. We must be willing to do the simple things that our new understanding asks of us. We are never given more than we can handle, and the loving help we need along the way is always available. But we never get this help in advance, only as we need it.
Am I seeking growth?
Higher Power, help me want to grow and be willing to do the simple things, day by day, that add up to big changes.

Oh wow - that is really deep! I was thinking about how life's challenges are just not so challenging anymore... even though all my defects of character have NOT been completely removed, nor am I even close to that, I can trust that when it's time, they will be. As I go through hard times, I see where certain strength is provided at that time so I become more aware that this program is working. Not while I'm driving down the road and I wouldn't notice ; )
The really cool thing is, it's not just about the hard times, the joy has more meaning and I GET TO be more grateful for the good times in general, which is fuel for more of the same and more astonishment at the powers that be. I'm just head over heals in love with this program, and I would travel to the moon and back if that was what it took. I have THAT much faith that this program works! Thanks for always posting these Rog - I had gotten away from reading them and was getting more into the language of letting go reading and some other family readings for a while, but I see now I can't skimp on my ol' fav.

Yeah Tash, ... When I first got to AA I got really gung ho and bought about 12 meditation books ... I spent the first hour of the day reading the dailys from those books ... I just got too caught up in all the reading and gave up ... years later, today, I have about 3 ... and that suits me just fine ... there is such a thing as 'overdoing' it ... this way, it's not so 'overwhelming' for me ...
Love ya and God Bless, Rog
