I will gladly serve margaritas and shots of tequila at work with a smile... And remember the time I got alcohol poisoning from the stuff- not a fun experience! Did it keep me away from the stuff? Don't be silly! Of course it didn't!!

Amen to that!!! ... ... ... as I recall, it's the only alcohol that I drank, that if I got a drink of water the next morning, I was instantly flat on my ass drunk again ... AND, it's the only alcohol that gave me a headache ... (I never got headaches with any other stuff ... but man, did I love Tequila ...)(never ate the worm though ... heard they give you hallucinations ...)

Former member of the Ron Rico 151 club no longer allowed into the rooms because of non-attendance and refusal to practice.  Thank God. smile

These Tequila hangovers were the first hangovers to make me shake........think that made me stop?! Nope.

I'll celebrate Nat. Teeq. Day by taking tomorrow off, away from hot temperatures, punk-ass co-workers and douchebag customers. I might even go to a face to face meeting.

Many years ago, when I was in the midst of my drinking, I house-sat for a friend that was traveling to Mexico. She brought me back a bottle of very smooth Tequila, which I proceeded to drink in one sitting. The funny thing is, I knew I had a problem back in those days. Denial wasn't a big part of my illness. If someone had said to me, "You know, you might be an alcoholic," I would have agreed. I tried to quit all sorts of ways - on my own - to no avail.

Last night I did go to a meeting - Step 10 was the emphasis, and it was good to listen to others read and reflect on the 12&12. What a world of difference from my days as a drunk. Sometimes it feels like something that happened to somebody else, long long ago, in a galaxy far far away...

Girls and tequila:

One to be social,

Two at the most,

Three you're under the table,

Four you're under the host.
