I always thought George was funny as hell. He is right on target with the pleasure vs pain...

Great clip ... I didn't watch it right away and forgot to come back to it, so thanks to Rob for getting this back to the top of my unread board ... ... ...

I agree that George had a very keen insight here where the use of drugs and alcohol are present ... But I would question just how much we are 'predestined' with our lives based on genetics ... I'm sure it has a great deal to do with where we are and how we got there ... but the 'freedom of choice' issue must be considered here ...

All in all, I loved this clip ... and except for his language at times, during his career, I loved his comedy ... he had the power of observation to the point he was gifted in telling it 'how it was' in such a way as to make us see and feel the 'stupidity' in our lives ...

Thanks for the clip ... I enjoyed it!

George Carlin was one of my favorite people on the planet!! I think his take is right on man!!
I saw him in Vegas once, and my face hurt I laughed so much!!
I loved the way he took on euphemisms, how we cannot say how things are any longer. The double speak, politically correct language monitoring and changing what is and what isn't.
He also had a pretty funny list of nicknames for self-stimulation.....euphemistically speaking!!

George is one of my all time fav comedians, So when I accident found this clip. I rarely watch interviews as well. I knew he always had a issue with alcohol, I didn't know he also had a "Ethonally Challenged" Father.

But I think what he experienced with alcohol hit right with me. I could never figure out why in the end I was hating it so much yet still forcing it down my throat. I really enjoyed his perspective on it.
