Seems Ironic (in a very sad way) that the guy who was playing the "all american kid" from Glee - Cory Monteith was found dead of an apparent drug overdose at age 31.  Such a horrible epidemic.

Indeed this is sad and tragic ... good show, great actor ... full life ahead of him and the disease got him first ... oh wow, makes me even more grateful than I was to be sober today ...

That makes it all the more clear to me that this is a lifetime program ... it definitely shows us our 'disease' never dies ...

You're right Pap...a program for life.  Cunning, Powerful and baffling.  There but for the grace of God and the last ounce I never drank.  smile

31 and working successfully in his chosen craft. Rehabbing since 19. Now, he is dead. That is what that first drink would do to many of us. I don't know the substance he was abusing, and does it really matter.

We will never be cured, we will always need to work a program and remember that each and every one of us could be that 31 year old.

Sadness for he and his. No thing will ever replace his essence on Earth. Hope they hold good memories of him. That's what we become when we die....besides dust, we become memories, hopefully, we leave more good memories than bad ones around!!

Latest news:

Glee star Cory Monteith died from a mixture of heroin and alcohol, authorities announced Tuesday.

It was a sad ending for a star who battled the demons of drug addiction for years, often candidly discussing his struggle. He had been in rehab earlier this year.

Barbara McLintock, Coroner for BC Coroners Service announced: We do now have a cause of death in the tragic death of Cory Monteith and that cause of death was a mixed drug toxicity and it involves heroin primarily and also alcohol. She added that there was nothing beyond the overdose being a sad and tragic accident.

So very sad...
