When you spend 25 years of your life and many hours in the life of our AA, Alanon and Alateen family, then a bond develops that no one can explain in human terms. It is by suffering that we have bonded. As a family we cannot even count the people that have graced our lives and made it richer for what it is today. Seeds that were sown 25 years ago, have germinated by God's grace. "Life will take on new meaning. To watch people recover, to see them help others, to watch loneliness vanish, to see a fellowship grow up about you, to have a host of friendsthis is an experience you must not miss. We know you will not want to miss it. Frequent contact with newcomers and with each other is the bright spot of our lives." Pg 89 AA book.
What an awesome reminder, Gonee. This fellowship will always withstand the test of time regardless how some perceive it. It's become a beacon of light in the dark valleys of alcoholism everywhere. And of course, it wouldn't be the same without you or anyone else on this board. That, my friend, is what I call... being grateful. Thanks again.
