Simple definition of prayer.

I thought I would share this with you. It was so simple yet so effectively expressed. That's how I reached out to God in my time of need.

"For prayer isn't getting on your kneesprayer is the elevation of the heart to God. That's all a man needs. You can pray in a prison, you can pray in an airplane, you can pray in a ship; you can pray anywhere and you can worship God, because it's Himself that we want, Himself."

Thanks Gonee.

Same here, I seem to be praying all day long, in the car, at home, at work, walking down the street - just in a modest way.

God bless,

Thanks, Gonee. I love 'elevation of the heart'. So true.

A cleric friend of mine once said that the best prayer was to simply look at God, and let Him take a look at you.

For me Q?...What your friend told you is exactly my same experience.  As a Father says to His special child..."Let me see your face".

Loved the response.   smile

I kept clicking on his thread, and looking at this post, while getting it on one level not getting it on another - but not understanding that. I was just getting that 'loose tooth' mental feeling.

I getcha. Be honest. Look the Source full in the face and let it look back at you.

That's given me a good bunch of thinking to do.

Thanks.
