I ran across this again today while cleaning out my computer ... this is a re-post, but thought there may be enough new members to give them a smile ... ... ...
10. I Hate Every Bone in Her Body But Mine
9. I Ain't Never Gone To Bed with an Ugly Woman But I Woke Up With A Few
8. If The Phone Don't Ring, You'll Know It's Me
7. I've missed You, But My Aim's Improvin'
6. Wouldn't Take Her to A Dogfight 'Cause I'm Scared She'd Win
5. I'm So Miserable without You It's like You're Still Here
4. My Wife Ran Off With My Best Friend and I Miss Him
3. She Took My Ring and Gave Me the Finger
2. She's Lookin' Better with Every Beer
And the Number One Country & Western song is...
1. It's Hard To Kiss The Lips At Night That Chewed My Ass All Day.

Funny stuff Pappy. Just had dinner with some other AA's after the meeting and they where talking about Jay Leno's retirement, I said it seems like Johnnie just retired the other day LOL.
I the USA the only country that "our" country music is popular?

LOL ZZ, ... ... ... now you're diggin' deep ... ... ... I love the simple, honest songs that country music has bred ... when looked at in the right perspective, they're funny ... and in many cases they teach us to empathize with others ... and they can also teach us of human 'life traps' to avoid ... they can help us in making the right choices in our own lives ... they typically don't paint an 'unrealistic' picture of life as many of today's songs and music do ...
I think country songs have a way of pointing out what happens when we make the wrong choices in life ... (Hank Williams, Jr. --- 'Why Must You Live Out the Songs That You Wrote?') ... I could go on and on and on ... LOL
To answer Rob's question ... ... ... it is my understanding that Europe and China (of all places) are big on 'country' music(our country music) ... ... ... Why??? ... I think it's mostly because this particular music centers more around the trials of life than do other types of music ... and the songs of 'love' seem to 'move' people deep within ...
That's my opinion, and it oughta be yours, ... LOL Pappy
