This is a weekly article sent to me by my request ... this is something I place a lot of value in ... it is not meant to sway members here one way of the other toward any religion ... I simply like it and thought I'd share this wisdom here for those who do believe in the same 'higher power' that I do, thank you ...

Weekly Verse

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
-1 John 3:18
Weekly Quote

You learn to love by loving. -Francis de Sales
Weekly Thought

If love is a mere emotion, then your love for a spouse, children, even God, is dependent on how you feel about them at a given moment. But feelings are fickle and can be up or down based on factors as simple and mundane as the amount of sleep we've had or whether or not we exercised today.

No wonder people fall in and out of love so much. They are treating love as an emotion or feeling rather than what it really is, an active verb.

God demonstrated His love for us by sending His Son to redeem us. Ultimately, we love God and those around us when we actively demonstrate it.

Have you "told" someone you love them today?

Dear God, I marvel at how much You love me and at how You, Jesus, came to redeem me. Help me to love as You do, with actions as well as words. Amen.
