My Niece is One Year Sober!

A couple of years ago, I posted about my niece who was then struggling with trying to get sober and suffering from other mental illness issues.  Well, she is one year sober today!  I am so excited and so happy for her.  She finally found a group of younger A.A.s with whom she has bonded, and a loving sponsor.  I, too, got sober young (my early 20s), and I know what a tremendous, joy-filled journey she has before her, a day at a time.  God is soooooo good!

That's amazing! Thanks for sharing the inspiration.

I've decided that when I reach my 1 year anniversary (8 months away) I'm going to treat myself with a cheese pizza and a Twix - all to myself :)
