Today, my wife and I, celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. We will begin our day at our regular Sunday morning house of worship, thanking the God of our understanding not only for another day of LIFE, but another day of LIFE together. This afternoon we have a free Champagne Brunch coupon at the ISLE CASINO in Pompano Beach(that will brunch for me minus the libation :) and probably make some small investments in the $.05 machines(an area of strict diligence for me here if ya hear me)and then tonight off to DEERFIELD BEACH (about 3 miles from our house) to either watch the sunset or the rain fall under the Cabana and whisper sweet nothings to each other,, yeah I am a hopeless romantic and always willing to share the love that God has given me to share,,, ,my wife says im babbling ,but she has really seen BABBLING during the STORM YEARS . If you are new here to MIP, just coming back or on the edge of making that final acceptance of utter defeat and need to find that new way to live, WELCOME. Our message is HOPE and the promise of freedom from active addiction by taking the steps(STEPS) TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES, to find that freedom. WE have the program, beginning with total abstinence, to begin the healing process and instill the Solution to remain free ,a day at a time. Based on my own evidence of 25 years out on the tiles and seeing the fruits of the program instilled in actions and behaviors of my daily LIFE I can only suggest begin seeking the solution today. It was 6 months ,to the day(Dec 2nd,84)that it was evident I could either continue to go on to the same, the jails ,institutions, deriiction or death or seek the solution ,God's grace and mercy allowed me the choice of the latter. .It is truly evident that Lost dreams do awaken and new possibilities continually arise in recovery ,a day at a time. WE have been through the JOYS(brought by God's grace)and the TRIALS that are life on lifes terms situations, together and continue to grow day by day(not just my belly !!)Anyway I share this day with you all, for those continuing to work the program and their own recoveries, continued strength and fortitude in giving away that true message of HOPE and letting others know about the promise of freedom......Yup as my darling would say, you must be from BABYLON(think she means babble on :)

Babble on...LOL...Only from a woman who has let you tolerate 29 years with her own...Congradulations Mike and Spouse!!! One piece of evidence that the program works and that Higher Power holds a very bright lantern to the pathway. I love it as it mentors me in all facets and endeavors of my life which means I believe faith, trust and hope. I've seen this so often with program couples which entices me to keep on keeping on with what I've been taught.
