Thurday night? I had been sober a little over a month...

Was down to a quarter tank of fuel....half a pack of smokes...food enough for 4 days...

Hadnt been to a meeting since Sunday night..All meetings out of town...and noone lived closeby..

Business was slow...nothing comming in..

Internet was about to be shut down...and a lot of PINGS from the past...because of drinking...were knocking at my door..

I looked up and remember saying..'ok..up there....Im doing my best....Need some help down here..Amen"

I knew that in the town Ide moved from...There would be a cheque in the mail for 54...

It would help me survive a few more days..

I called my daughter there..on Friday at one...

She told me that shede picked up the cheque...

At the same time she stated that there were 2 other envelopes..in her hand that also looked like cheques..

I asked her to open them up...

One was a government cheque for 97 dollars..

The other? Another government cheque for 397..

Now..

Ive been fighting with the government for 6 years...re income tax..and they have held all rebates...and put them toward amounts owing...

And here they are...after all that time....sending me 494 dollars..

Go figure....

I agree. I don't know how many times my HP has shown up at my darkest hour.

He/She is always there, always has been, always will be ... ... ... Sometimes we just forget until we need something ... that is one reason the program tells us what our daily habit should be when it comes to keeping our eyes and minds open, to talk things over with Him/Her daily ... pg. 86 & 87 in the BB ... ... ...

It's occured to me often that HP likes the simpilest of prayers and because of the responses it has always occured to me that "God is" and "God listens"
