Cleaned out my 'Tool' Belt

Well, I procrastinated long enough and decided to upend my 'tool belt' on my work bench and clean it out ... seems that I kept 'pocketing' other tools in this belt till it became hard for me to find the right tool even when I knew it was right there ... Wow ... there were about 6 pencils, 3 carpenter's pencils, a marker and 4 or 5 pliers of different sizes that didn't need to be in there ...

In the bottom of my tool pouch, I saw a folded, crushed piece of paper that looked to have been there for the last few years ... complete with dirt and gease marks and smudges ... ... ... I thought, huh ... wonder what that is ... with my dirty hands, I finally got this paper out and unfolded it to see if it was trash of whatever ... ... ... There, written in cursive, by my hand, was this prayer:

May God grant us the Wisdom to discover the Right,

The Will to chose it,

And the Strength to make it Endure.

Amen

I thought WOW, that was just the up-lifting thing I needed to hear today ... ... ... and I thought immediately, I need to share this with my family here ... ya see, I never used to see the signs or the messages in my past, but since I worked the AA 12 steps and practice my communications with God now on a daily basis, I have come to know He/She likes to send me messages from time to time ... today, I am grateful to be sober and able to see theses messages when they are sent to me ... ... ... How else can one explain 'HOW' that piece of old paper got in the bottom, of all things, my tool belt ... ... ... ??? ... ... ... there is no logical reason for that paper to have been there ... think what you will, but I know, without a single doubt in my old body, that it was in this place, this period of time, for a reason ... ... ...
