Sorry guys, ... I got a phone call from the kid in Nashville during the meeting ... seems I'll be heading back up there soon ... he needs another surgery ...

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers ... ... ... Seems the kid's spinal discs are dissolving ... the screws holding in the rods holding him 'upright' will pull free soon ... they want to try a new procedure for new 'bone' growth to 'fuse' his entire spinal column together ... he is afraid of more limited 'motion' ... you should see what he does from his wheelchair, he's incredible when he wants to do something, nothing stops him ... he's been a big inspiration to me especially when I feel like giving up sometimes ... he doesn't know the word 'quit' ...
He wants to put off surgery as long as possible because he doesn't want to 'miss out' on Springtime ... He has limited use of his arms, so they diagnose him as 'high level' quad ... but he has no use or feelings in his abs or lower trunk at all ... his activities stretch his body over the limits and he has broken his back again a couple of times since his original accident ... he simply refuses to sit back and let the world go by without him ...
So, it looks like my 'bed-mates' will once again be a Chocolate Lab, a Great Dane, and my little Rosey ... ... ... talk about your dog breath ... I fit right in ... LOL
