I have a mountain ahead of me. I have been out of work for six months and I have to re-qualify at work. I will be studying for a month to overcome that mountain. In the six months, the technology has changed considerably, and I have to conquer the technology with out the benefit of even touching it. Sigh. Anyhoo, I am blessed with having a month of serene study before the test with few distractions and it is not impossible. My strategy is to hide away like a wounded animal and let my wife fend off the trials of the world while I pound this stuff back into my head. I also plan unscheduled trips out to the worksite to put my hands and brains on the actual equipment so I can see and remember how it works!
Having said all that, I do need prayers for motivation and dillegence! I have a tendency to find excuses to not study. So I want all of you to set an alarm at your house for 7:30 am eastern time everyday for a month and at that time I need a prayer from you to give me strength to get my ass in gear. OK if that is a bit much, just do what you can....
Thanks,
Tom

Prayers for your dillegence and motivation and positive mental attitude. Stay in the "I can" frame of mind along with the "I will". Use to be a part of my alcoholic personality and I kept it with me inside of recovery. (((hugs)))
Prayers are with you though I'm guessing you will be fine. If you have any curiousity to learn this stuff again and in more detail, studying wont be so much of a chore. Now that I'm sober when I have had to work or study on weekends or evenings, I just remind myself that it's still way better than before and that before I would have drank myself right out of a job.
