Last nights online meeting...

Was great!!  A very good turn out of people for it, and the topics were right on!  "Fit Spiritual Condition, Spiritual Malady, and Step Three".

The shares were really good, and provided a lot of insight to the old timers and solid hope to the newcomers.

Thank all of you who showed up and made it such a great meeting!

Our next one is Saturday morning at 11AM eastern time, chaired by Bob K., followed by another at 9pm Saturday nite.  I hope you'll join us!

John

I was only able to get to the very end of the meeting but saw that it was a fine (virtual) gathering, with an important exchange of E, S &H.

Online meetings are essential for many AA's who can't get to or who don't like F2F meetings. MIP is doing good service to AA principles by holding such meetings

John, thanks for taking the initiative to get the AA meetings rolling again. In the last year or so, seems like there was some inertia against getting the meetings occurring again -- possibly due to a strong bias for regular meetings. But the truthis that both regular meetings and online meetings can coexist in today's world of recovery. It's not a zero sum game.

Thanks John, it was impeccably organized and I know everyone really appreciated the opportunity to take part.

Sounds like I missed an awesome treat! Not going to let that happen again.

I caught half of it and it's the best one I've seen here. Thanks John for getting us revved up about it.

I have a question: is the lord's prayer at the end a common AA thing? I have never heard it in my area.

In the U.S. it's very common, but nowhere near universal. Some areas/groups/meetings are adamantly opposed to the LP because of its Christian origin.

I hear the LP is used much less outside the U.S.

There has been a long-lasted tussle on this issue within AA.  I think the pro-LP forces are winning at present. Overall, I mean. Each meeting does it the way they wish.
