Okay, back in the 60's there was a commercial I will never forget on TV ... Don't know if this was nationwide or not, but it was for 'Lay's Potato Chips' ... ... ... and the 'catch line' was "Betcha can't eat just one" ... ... ... which I think turned out to be some kind of psycological trap of some kind ... ... ... People were buying these potato chips to try and prove they could eat just one ... well, as it turns out, LOL, 99.99999999% couldn't ..... one reason, well, they were darn good chips, and still are ...
I was just thinking, that's exactly how beer was to me ... how many time did I think I could just drink one ... turns out, ... ... ... I never could ...
Come on Colleen, just try this one ... ... ... Please!!! ... ... ... (Pappy trying to sway Colleen to try just one ...)

I never liked tests...drunk or sober. For some reason my mind didn't wanna and my will was stuck on won't. When I drank; I drank and did'nt waste time thinking of it. Potato chips? can't think of one good drink I would ruin with a potato chip or any other kind of chip. I did have my druthers when it came to booze though...I'll bet you might uh had them also Pap.
You know what Jerry? ... ... ... I do see what you mean about not ruining a good drink with a chip at one point in my drinking, but when I got to the end of my drinking, I could not afford the good stuff ... I went for the quickest and the cheapest ... ... ... Somewhere along the way, I stopped drinking for the 'sophistication' of it, I just wanted to be 'plowed' .... no food, just the drink ... I couldn't taste anything in the end anyway ... ... ... and I guess that's really not too funny ...
