one way turning it over works for me

my son is int he army. he's on his 3rd tour of duty. in afghanistan until september of this year. he's a specialist. intelligence. i dont ask him much about his job and he cant tell me much.

last saturday, i got a squirrelly feelin about him. im sure anyone who has a son/daugter in the armed forces can relate. i gave it to God. the though was still there, but i kept on prayin and livin. sunday night i got  message from him online:"i have an extremely heavy package thats gonna be showin up at your place in about a week. be carful with it,ok?"

"no problem" i respond.

monday morning i got a message from him:"hey, i have a request: that package is a pair of sub woofers for my car. can you build a box for them? the box has to be pretty beefy as the subs are 72lbs/pc and the dimensions have to be pretty specific."

"sure!! i loved to do that" i reply

monday evening, i get a message from him;" im also thinkin about gettin a new amp. lookin at this one:( i wont add the link). not sure if its gonna work."

"welp, let me ask my friend, dan. he's an electronics genious. i'll get back with ya inna bit" i respond.

talk to dan, he says thats a perfect match for the subs. message my son and let him know.

tuesday morning, get a message from my son:" also ordered this stereo and it should be gettin there in about a week."

"cool!!" i reply

tuesday evening, i get a message from my son:" well, im gonna have to get a bigger alternator, battery, and gonna need some wiriing upgrades under the hood. do you think you and dan can install everything for me?"

then it hit me: my son is in afghanistan. he's lookin at dumpin $4500 into the stereo system for his car. yup, i think he's doin allright!!

THANK YOU, GOD!!!

That's one heck of a yard stick you're measuring with Tom...He's feeling good about where he's at and passed it along to you. Hope he doesn't whip it to max volumn or the car will end up on it's roof.   LOL   smile

Some of us big thinkers were doing the meeting after the meeting this morning that is until we realized we had suddenly gotten lost all while sitting exactly in the same spot we had started in.  Thinking is soooo over rated.  Hmmmmmm  smile
