One of the things my sponsor taught me, was to express my gratitude to the AA fellowship. He always told me that the hallmark of every good recovery is gratefulness. When I started my company 20 years ago, I sought advice from him and his reply was: "Pass it on." Nothing about success stories and wealth etc. The people of AA gave me their time, which was worth far more than money. Today that's what God wants me to give back, my time for another suffering alcoholic. Many times I am reminded that the harvest is plenty but workers are few. So today I want to say thanks, to each and every one of you for my life, which may I be reminded, was'nt much some years ago. I got restored to sanity by God's grace and you wonderful people.
How do I say thanks? By working with the still suffering alcoholic. When I work with others it does not leave me much time to get sick myself.
