Thanks Mike. The learning curve in skiing is steep lol. But once you've acquired some skills it's relatively safe and a lot of fun. And after 36 years of skiing I'm still improving. Skiing mostly in the trees, which at one point I thought that I'd never do. lol

Happy Birthday Dean...2600 miles south west and you could be skiing in Hawaii on Mauna Kea...No trees tho...would you like to substitute large rocks at or above 10k feet? I don't do snow...don't do cold in fact sure like to watch you do it tho. Have a good one...

Thanks all. Just got done skiing. Beautiful day. Nothing like looking down on Lake Tahoe while negotiating a snow covered mountain. Billy Jack, we're going to have to do lunch one of these years. I'm here every first week of March.
Other than the views I never quite understood the attraction of skiing. I would rather scare my self half to death and make myself sick, bouncing round on the ocean! Have a great day, and many more of them!
you make it look so easy! My old boss used to ski every year, and every year he came back on crutches. But like us sea sick sailors, and alcoholics, at the start of each new season, we can only remember the good bits of the last one! This time I'm just gonna have a good time! lol.
thanks Col and David. Mike, it's addicting. and 1 out of 3 skiers goes home with some kind of injury (pulled muscles included). I'm going home with some bruised ribs from a collision with another skier (he ran me over from behind. The wife pulled a muscle in her calf on the first day and missed 3 days of skiing. Gave me valuable time to hook up with locals and follow them rapidly thru the trees. lol. They were surprised that an 53 year old from FL could keep up with them hour after hour. I do train hard, in the gym and pool, for 3-4 months before ski season starts. If you don't, your thigh muscles will burn out in the first hour. lol
