6 Months today, could not make my home group meeting tonight, night shift sucks!!! Will be able to make home group meeting on Tue night for my chip. Older friend with 30 yrs. sobriety has ordered me a copper 6 month chip, I think he is as excited about it as I am. He is a very close friend that I have met through AA, that has been living the last 10 months with level 4 lung cancer. I rely on him for help and direction, he jokes with me that he will not formally be my sponser because he does think he will be around much longer. I have become very close to him and am very grateful for AA, because I would have never met such a positive person if not for the program!! Anyway, I have 6 months, and feel that I deserve my chair at AA meetings. Say your prayers, go to meetings and don't drink!!
Congrats Joby ... for sure this is a big one ... 6 months is the turning point for many ... keep your head in the AA Big Book and your butt going to meetings ...

Aloha Joby and great work on the 6 months sobriety. Congradulations on that sponsor!! He reminds me of my early sponsor Bill S who also died of cancer while helping me and other get into and on their way to sobriety. I'm practicing to be just like them. Keep coming back and thanks for the ESH.
