Hi all:) the suicide of Mindy McCready is a very tragic event that sheds light on the disturbingly high numbers of alcoholics and addicts that succumb to suicidal thoughts. I could have easily been amongst these. It wasn't all that long ago that I was in the depths of suicidal depression. I truly empathize. A friend of mine, only 24 years old, was recently hospitalized following a rather serious attempt at suicide while drunk. Thankfully she will remain hospitalized for the next few weeks so she will not be a danger to herself. This beautiful, sweet young lady feels she has nothing to live for, and it's absolutely heartbreaking to witness. I am asking for prayers for my friend Amanda- that she find the strength to see the light. Thank you in advance
Thanks for the 'heads-up' Col, ... ... ... ... I will certainly include Amanda in my prayers ...
Sad as it was to hear of Mindy McCready, a person who had everything, I was more impacted by Alex's death ... I had developed a rather close relationship with Alex(Ruhig) and felt like I lost a piece of me when I got the news ... man oh man .... this disease is definitely cunning, baffling, and powerful ...
