The recovering acholic is the one who makes the beer run for all the snowed in neighbors! 29" here took 6 hours to get my car garage, and garbage cleared, took condo association all day, and more tomrrow. So sitting around, happy and content, while my friends tie one on, I'll relax with the kids by the fire!
Cool I hear ya Flipper,my moms up in Rockport Mass, outside of Boston and got crunched. 88 yrs old ,her power went out and they were taking people to shelter,no heat ,lights etc...She said no way ,got my wool hat on a nice jacket, hotdogs(uncooked )to eat and electric battery lights and audio books cause she dont see well. She says 'Im a survivor son"no doubt where I get my endurance from...Be chilled and be safe,,,,,I remember(barely) many times being blasted in the storm(not only weather wise)truly grateful those days are gone

You need to trade your 'fins' (flippers) in for skis ... ... ... AND more power to the old folks Mike ... no pun intended ... (I'll be sure to keep your Mom in my night prayers ... she sounds like a tough ole bird, no disrespect)

We got 26" here! I had to work yesterday- there was a driving ban, so only us walkers were called in. Not the best stroll I've ever had, but hey, now I can honestly tell my possible future grandchildren that I walked 2 MILES in a blizzard (2 miles each way...) uphill both ways, of course lol to get to work. Mike, I live Rockport! Lovely little town in the summer- your Mom sounds pretty cool:) she knows how to ride out a storm in style;)
Hey Col! that is so cool..Yes she moved up from Marblehead. My brother also lives there. We were there in December last year before we moved to Florida.I ran all over that town, lots of hills. She lives in the old school transposed into the senior apartments diagonal from the Baptist church on the corner. My brother and his husband got married there and had their reception in the buiding right on main street next to camera shop.Small world..Moms don;t even know how much snow she got.She is amazing.....Small world huh....if we ever get up that way again,i'll give you a shout we could meet for coffee or something up on the Neck........Have a blesed and productive day..

hhmmmmmmm............anyone notice the absence of anxiety and whining we in the fellowship seem to maintain during events such as bad storms, even with the outages, floods, concern for others etc. Must have something to do with being sober (and thus sensible) and, oh yeah, that 3rd step thing.
