A crowd is gathering around at Niagara falls. God is pushing a wheel barrow across a tight wire. He's going back and forth. He turns to the crowd and asks, " who believes that I can push the wheel barrow across the falls on the wire?" A man jumps up and declares" I believe I believe, I saw you do it." Now God asks " who has faith That I can do it?" The man asks "what is faith?" God turns to the man and says " get in the wheel barrow !! "
So many times at meetings, I really enjoyed hearing peoples stories about the wheel barrow. Talking about the wheel barrow, book studies about the wheel barrow, on line groups about the wheel barrow, praying about the wheel barrow. I just didn't want to get in the wheel barrow. Iv'e been in the wheel barrow many times now and it the most frightening thing i have ever done, but He has never let me fall once. Recovery is not possible with out getting in the wheel barrow. Being dry or undrunk is, but that's not recovery.

Once there was a wonderful wise Queen. One day her prize mare leapt the castle fence, and disappeared into the forest.
Her advisors tried to console her, "Dear Queen! We are so sorry this bad thing has happened!"
The queen replied,"Bad? Perhaps."
The next day, Her Mare returned to the gates, with a gorgeous wild stallion.
Her advisors tried to congratulate her," Dear Queen! We are so glad this good thing has happened!"
The queen replied, "Good? Perhaps."
Her only child, her cherished son, trained the stallion....but he was thrown...and was severly injured.
Her advisors tried to console her, "Dear Queen! We are so sorry this terrible thing has happened!"
the Queen replied, "Terrible? Perhaps."
Her ministers then declared war, and all the young people were torn away, to kill or be killed.....The Queens son was spared, do to his injury............
Please dear Miracles....Share with me your experience, strength and hope......on Faith in sobriety....during difficulties...Thanks all!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road youre trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low, and debts are high, And you want to smile, but have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but dont you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out; Dont give up though the pace seems slow, You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight when youre hardest hit, Its when things seem worse, that you must not quit.

My personal Faith beliefs have been with me since I was a child, during my entry into devastation at 12 yrs('59) and thru my surrender in '84 and the bginning of my sobriety. Even when I tried to hide from the God of my understanding, the evidence of the continued miracles were all around me..
From my daily spiritual readings I do believe, for me," Faith is being sure of what I hope for and certain of what I have not seen". Not only words from a book but like our STEPS, application in all areas of my life to the best of my ability, Just For Today!! I continue to make the decisions, actions, and leave the results up to my Higher Power, having Faith God's will be done............

The core attitude of all prayer is perhaps best summed up by a related but very different tradition. Most know that Muslims pray five times daily; few remember that the word Islam means "submission."
Sa'ad son of Wakas was a companion of the Prophet. In his last years he became blind and settled in Mecca, where he was always surrounded by people seeking his blessing. He did not bless everyone, but those he did always found their way smoothed for them.
Abdallah Ibn-Sa'ad reports:
"I went to see him, and he was good to me and gave me his blessing. As I was only a curious child, I asked him: "Your prayers for others always seem to be answered. Why, then, do you not pray for your blindness to be removed?"
"The ancient replied: 'Submission to the Will of God is far better than the personal pleasure of being able to see.'"
