"The Twelve Steps are not steps to take progressively in order to arrive at a conclusion, but a code for living -- the constitution of a way of life."

So true Pappy!  A design for living that really works under all conditions.   I'm grateful today to be a part of this 12 Step Program.  smile

Lack of power, that was our dilemma. We had to find a power by which we could live, and it had to be a Power greater than ourselves. Obviously. But where and how were we to find this Power?

Well, that's exactly what this book is about. Its main object is to enable you to find a Power greater than yourself which will solve your problem.

bb pg 45

I heard a guy in a meeting the other night put it like this...

Steps one through three get us sober...

Steps four through nine find us a Power greater than ourselves...

Steps ten through twelve keep us sober....

Simple enough.

Let's add this one to the mix ...

The elevator to sobriety, is out of order,

Use the steps.
