I came into AA with a hole in my soul .... the hole was just about God size.

Mahalo John ...that is good and helpful.  It runs right along my meditation which when I think about it is, "Sobriety isn't so much the absense of alcohol and the behaving within God's will".   smile

I don't know if God brought me to AA and recovery or if AA and recovery brought me to God . It's kinda like the chicken or the egg question. It really doesn't matter because I can have eggs for breakfast and chicken for supper. Which came first doesn't matter to me because I have both and that makes me happy.

My sponsor told me I had to "commit" to AA, not just be "involved".

He said the difference was like a bacon & egg breakfast. The chicken is involved and the pig is committed.
