Hi Christine!

I too felt the same way.  Like I was with a group of people I knew, from somewhere, at some point in time.  I kept scanning the room to see if one of them would recognize me.  Many acknowledged me, smiled, nodded their heads...

Then one day I heard a man's story, then another, and another, and then a woman's, and another... and I realized... I do recognize them... they are or were me.  They were telling my story!

John

PS. I hope you'll read my reply to pappy about what the video "Since the beginning of time" meant to me when I heard it.

The first week I went to meetings I was struck by the many people I met who looked and/or acted very similar to people I already knew. Not 1 or 2....more like 6 or 8. It was strange. I thought I was imagining things. A little unsettling. It came up in conversation after the meeting tonight and I continued to think about it after coming home. Now I sort of wonder if it was God's way of saying "See...you already know and like these people. Give it a chance."  That's the theory that makes me happy!

This is great Chris, ... ... ... I think you're finally seeing this as 'Home' ... make yourself comfortable ... have a cup of coffee ... sit 'n talk ... My AA group here is closer to me than my earthly family ever was ... I can bare my inner self so much more easily here than with my real family ... HERE, I am understood ... HERE, I am loved despite all my faults ... Truly wonderful, isn't it??? ....
