We told you if you didn't pay close attention during 'group conscience' meetings, you'd be volunteered for something in the blink of an eye ... LMAO ... Good for you ... love it ....

cool beans!! get upset about the coffe and you'll have another new job! :)
i think its awesome ya got a greeter at yer meetings. it can really help someone who is there for their 1st meeting. i dont know anyone who came into their 1st meting wanting to get sober who didnt have some fear and that hand reached out helped them.
greeter is one of the most important jobs. It is so important for the newcomer to feel welcome and comfortable as well. Of course you will quickly get to know everyone and soon you will be an old hand. You can do an awful lot of good in that role. Well done, you'll find it's much better to be "in" AA rather than just going "to" AA.
A funny bunch...But stick close to those people....I grabbed onto the coattails of oldtimers right from the start...I think I was 4 months sober when I went to my first business meeting...I left chairing the Thursday meeting....We don't have a greeter for some reason....Maybe I'll bring that up at the next one.
Both places where I go to meetings have greeters. The greeter seems to be late, almost always. Not on purpose...just works out that way. That is kind of a running joke, too! I walk there so I am usually early.
