It's funny people have joked from time to time about my city being "heaven's waiting room" and full of old folks and we do have a few. But here's a picture of one of our
beaches at spring break last year. what do you think the median age is Pappy?

Okay, ...'UNCLE' ... but ain't these all 'visitors' ??? ... ... ...
I mean, I'm ready to move down there cause it gets sooo cold here ... on man, it got down to 45 degrees last night ... and it's only going up to 65 degrees tomorrow ... I mean ... this is torture ... I need heat ... I guess I'm ready to learn how to play 'Bingo' ... and invest in some good binoculars too ...

Okay Jerry, ... don't mess up my 'mojo' ... LOL ... I almost had Dean convinced to feel sorry for me ... but really, the temps here are great ... it's where Tasha and others live that I cannot fathom ... you know, where it gets to below zero ...
I think I could handle the weather in both Hawaii or Florida pretty easy like ... Wisconsin ??? ... NOT ... plus ya'lls scenary is uh, ... uh, ... a lot more 'eyepopping' if you know what I mean ...

Pappy, You don't get out much lol. The speed limit on I-75 is 70mph most places and most folks are traveling around 80. I was in Utah last month driving from Salt Lake City to Bryce Canyon and Zion National parks, the speed limit on I-15 was 80mph. I set the cruise control for 89 and past 4 state troppers sitting on the side of the road and they didn't budge.

Tomas, I moved down in '92 and bought a water front home on the north end of P.A.G. in "Don CeSar Place" if you know where that is. My address was 2 Alhambra, and when you sat in my living room and looked west, through the all glass end of the house, half of your view was the Don CeSar Hotel across the street. The house is here
but after 4 years I got tired of living on the beach between the tourists and ***heads for neighbors who thought they were Donald Trump because they lived on the beach. SPB is nice but it ain't Palm Beach, Miami, or Sarasota. Now I live here and I like it. I can play gulf and get to shopping ect.. a lot easier. Still within a bike ride or a jet ski ride to the beach. The wife and I take the boat or the jet ski to breakfast or dinner several times a week.
They stopped having the famous "spring break" here in Ft. Lauderdale. Even though it's often thought of still as a party town and called "Ft. Liquordale" it's still mostly like the rest of Florida when you get to the suburbs. Old folks.

Pappy, our state has a lot of large universities. UF, FSU, UM, USF.... and largest and the one that my son attended UCF has 70,000 undergrads. Why would they leave the Sunshine state's world class beaches to go up north in March?
You're absolutely right ... I cannot think of one good reason either ...
Oh, my 'trader' son gave up on Tenn. ... ... ... He's been a 'Gators' fan ever since Tebow ... ... ... I need to come and personally check things out down there, LOL ... Wow Dean, ... I think I'm becoming a 'dirty old man' now ... they don't drink, do they? ... I think I need to go back to school anyway ... lots to learn ... HeeHee ... ... ...

I got a guest room Pappy and it's 10 minute bicycle ride to the beach. Find you a cheap flight to Tampa and I'll pick you up. Allegiant air flights are super cheap into St. Pete/ Clearwater airport if you live near a regional airport like Greenville, SC or Chattanooga TN
Thanks Dean ... for some reason I know you're sincere about that ... but I DO have family duties to tend to here and in Tenn. that keep me busy ... Besides, If I were to visit, I may decide to never leave, LOL ... ... ....
And it means I'd have to learn how to ride a bicycle all over again ... Ha! ... that sounds a lot like 'exercise' ... (nice try!)

I wouldn't ever rule that out, but I',m 25 mi so. of Atlanta ... ... ... my kids are in Middle Tenn., whom we visit often ... wife has friend she visits near Knoxville about three days out of the year, so that's a possibility ... I'll certainly let you know if I get up to the East area of Tn ... also wife is from N.C. so anything is possible ..
But I still like the idea of St. Petersburg ... that would be a pleasant 'all day' drive ... (of course I'd have to pull off and nap ... )

I have one of the few Federally documented vessels in the Pacific..Home port in back of my sailboat...St. Pete Beach...I was a resident since 1974..and enjoyed 30 some odd years of sobriety there As a beach expert of sorts (Tomas Sailor).. on Facebook The beach of Pass a Grille Beach is on the Wor;d's short list....or why would I live there?
My family had a house in passa Grille for 25 years..I played tennis on those courts in that area for years..I would swim from 18th ave to the Don cesar every morning andrun back..Attribute my health and sobriety to that discipline..there were 3 people in the Pass-a Grille Group..what a disappointment back in '74..St. Pete Beach group were a buch of white sox rednecks..(LOL)..Thank God for the Indian Rocks Beach and Clearwater groups ..less I never would have made it in those days. Later I bought a condo in Bay Islands...I never particularly liked the west coast. of Fl...but I guess one could get use to it ..too congested..
LMAO lady Eli ... ... ... tell ya what do ... ... ... copy and 'print' Dean's photo and post it on your frig ... ... ... that'll keep your mind off the competition, if any, the girls may pose ... ... HeeeHeee
Pssst, ... I gave up trying to impress women a long time ago ... heck with it, go for the ice cream, that's what I say .... .... .... (Lord, just keep me sober!!!)
