Let there be Cake!

Am I the only one that starts thinking of food this time of day??? ... I don't care what kind, food is good ... well, better than looking for the bottle I misplaced, LOL ... the fact that I'd rather eat than drink now still amazes me ... here's a recipe that I ran across in my archives that still gets my interest up, but it's too close to dinner to make this thingy ... thought I'd reprint it here and see what happens:

Hey Guys, ... Just found a new recipe ... haven't tried it yet, but it's got my interest up ... thought I'd go ahead and past it along in case ya'll get a chance to try it first ... Let me know what you think!  (I usually have a little 'icing' for brownies in a tube in the frig. ... I'm thinking if this mug cake is any good, a little squirt of icing on it might do the trick!)

Love Ya'll,
Roger

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..

Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Depending on our time in the program, we learn to be around alcohol and not be affected by it ... the Vanilla extract hasn't bothered me in a few years and neither has the cooking wine my wife uses ... early in the program, absolutely ... it had to be hidden or not even used at all ...

And I think there's 'imitation' stuff too ... it may or may not have alcohol in it ... oh Lord, I've become a 'Chocoholic' ... where's my M&Ms ?
