Normies doing my projection for me.

Soon a couple of days ago my motorbike caught fire. I moved it away from the house and put the fire out. It gets picked up and taken to the assessor today. There I was looking on the bright side, the bike didn't set the house on fire. I put the fire out. I wasn't injured, when my brother rang me. His projection.......you'll not get it repaired the insurance offer will be paltry it'll take Months to sort out. .... Nice bit of projection. .....saved me from doing it myself!

Nice to hear from you Bill!  Looks to me like someone who has a Program and someone who doesn't.  smile  Nice illustration of what The Program can do for us.  Stay well!

Ah.....the beast has been taken away to the assessors......initial thoughts are it's goosed. So then we'll be negotiating for a reasonable settlement. I've talked to a few dealers who have told me how much to hang out for (based on a standard ETV1000, same age, same history, plus 25% for the factory upgrades).

So maybe the problem I'll have is what to buy next. I love these sorts of problems...............

Nice : ) I was going to post something to this effect, but I wondered if you had a real attachment or sentimental value to the bike, and I wanted to give it enough respect in it's burial before skipping around with excitement at the thought of the new gal LOL

To me that's the cool part of this whole ordeal - getting to pick out something new... new discoveries... as more is always revealed like in our program and life : )

Have fun Bill - I like your attitude!

Ditto Bill, ... Love you're initial take on the situation ... 'At least it didn't burn the house down and I'm okay' ... great attitude ... AND I get to look for a new bike ... great attitude as opposed to the way we used to get on our 'pity-pots' and cry over spilt milk ... this is a great example for us and others, thanks for sharing it ...

Glad you did not hurt yourself

Good to see ya Bill! Yes sometimes others words of 'ENCOURAGEMENT" leave us opportunities to put our practice, living in the  solution, into use....Glad you are okay!!!smile

Sorry to hear about your bike. Ya, the 'normies' in my life do this sort of thing for me all the time haha. Especially recently with losing my job.. I was talking with a friend recently and I mentioned it briefly, then wanted to move on in the conversation. She's all "omg! Why aren't you freaking out about this?!?" to which I responded " yes, we'll I already did that for a bit before I realized this is a great opportunity for growth"... To which she said "what are you crazy?" lmao! Maybe! Haha, her response would have been my response a few months back, but luckily I have her around to freak out for me! So I bought her coffee for her:)

I know what you mean, it's like it upsets people that you're not freaking out more? Weirdness. Great attitude, Bill!

Ah the beast is one of two remaining links to the man that used to booze. This bike was bought in a fit of macho swagger. I didn't really need the high spec but it was only another £1500. I couldn't really afford it but what the hell. We had some big dreams all hatched in the bar an they never got further than that. When I embarked on this path of sobriety then the dreams got right sized and got realised. We've been all around this small island. Been to Europe. Input 16000 miles on it while drinking. In the last three years I put 30k on it. She took me to retreats, conventions, parties, weddings, meetings and holidays. If it gets repaired it comes back as new and we start our adventures again. If it don't I'll buy something else. The other link? Another bike a guzzi t4. Being 'remodelled by my brother thisvyear. She'll come back with a new identity. So yeah both bikes have sentimental value but betters coming.

This is great stuff!  That's what I love about The Program.  We're grant/provided with a change in attitude and outlook on life(one of The Promises).   Our reaction to life changes.  We learn to live life on lifes terms.  smile  Then we can look at those around us that freak out and remember what we use to do prior to living a Spiritual life.  biggrin
