Returning to work..

I'm going back to work the end of next week and I have more than a little apprehension to put it mildly. Scared s##less would be more appropriate. It's not only that I havent worked for two and a half years, its also that I never was truely sober the previous 25 years at work...I always had a chemical in my pocket to curb my insecurities, "drowsiness" or whatever and needless to say constant drinking in between. I'm returning with sobriety and God which I found through AA. I ask for your prayers.

Don't forget to carry the 'Serenity Prayer' with you ... it saved my butt a few times when I went back to work, for sure ...

Prayers sent your way!  Suit up and show up.  Let God take care of the details.  Remember:  in The Program we turn FEAR into Face Everything And Recover.  smile

Hi Rod,

Just stay in the 3d step and into God and everything will be great. We normally perform much better sober as long as we stay focused.

Remember:
We reviewed our fears thoroughly. We put them on paper, even though we had no resentment in connection with them. We asked ourselves why we had them. Wasn't it because self-reliance failed us? ......at once we commenced to outgrow fear.
