Warning: this is a bit gross, but I feel compelled to share!

Last week I went to grab a coat from the closet and realized it was filthy. Well! It turns out it was the coat I wore on my last drinking night out. I guess the next day I hadn't looked at it properly and had just hung it up. It was covered in red wine vomit. Looooooooovely.

Anyway, today I put my big girl pants on and took it to the dry cleaner. I explained that I had 'leaned against a wall' so there was a stain on the coat.

I'll be very glad to not have moments like these anymore!

Yeah--just as crappy as when it's all in your long blond hair and your child is staring down at you because you're on the floor lying in it. Trust me, it really does gets better when those "moments" are no longer!!!

I'm not ever forgetting the whiskey gin tequila tofu curry chocolate cake vomit!!! It was pretty unforgettable. So gross. My friend cleaned it all up before I even came out of the black out. She had me in clean clothes too. I am more upset about that situation than many others because I was soooo out of control. I was truly powerless.

Haven't thrown up in a long time but I do remember blackberry brandy on my favorite white pants.

Of course my wonderful enabler mother got the stains out......That poor woman. I put her through hell.

Haha!

The worst part was when the dry cleaner asked me if I knew what it was.

Me: um, some sort of mud maybe?

Dry cleaner: It looks like tar.

LOL!!! It looks like tar! You just leaned up against an "appetizer." Geez. This is where our best thinking got us.

That's why I'd get my spew out of the way before breakfast. The stomach was mostly empty, I'd remember where I did it, and I'd have the next 14 hours to drink uninterrupted.

It's about having the correct system, people.

Who could have the worst story?! I'm sure each and every one of us have these "war stories"!! I don't miss those blackout, vomit, or other bodily function mishaps in my life!! Hard to believe anyone has ever blacked out and broke their toilet huh?! Wonder if I could get into a record book with that one!! Thank God for today........memories I know actually keep me coming back!! Thanks for the flashbacks......

I used to blame throwing up on my "weak stomach". Well, haven't had a drink in 20 months and what a shocker, I haven't thrown up in 20 months. Guess that tummy isn't so weak after all. ;)

I almost never got sick, but there was this time that I was eating lots of raw oysters at bars. I bought a jar of shucked oysters at the grocery store and was too stoopid to know that they had to be cooked (not fresh). We had a small party and we're playing some drinking game. I was drinking gin and tonic along with shots of beer (backwards isn't it?) and eating these not fresh oysters. I got all kinds of sick, probably ptomaine and alcohol poisoning. I heaved myself inside out for a week and couldn't eat for another week. I just laid on the couch getting weaker and weaker. I seriously thought that I was going to die. I wanted to die lol. Just one of thousands of ways this disease can kill you.
