twocents.gif  coffeemachine.gif  coffeecup.gif If you are spending New Year's day in any of these settings, just say Thank You.

You are safe and surrounded by people who care.  You are, theoretically, not adding to any substances already in your body or which are leaving your body or which have left your body. You are blessed with a day of new beginnings. You may feel lonely, but you are not alone. You are being fed, and probably have TV and hot coffee. Never give up, never say never. Get off the pity-pot and get to work....yes, AGAIN, if that fits. Use the wisdom and education you are given...believe it or not, helpers in the addiction field actually know whereof they speak.   Best wishes for a sober day, for hope, for willingness, for self-forgiveness, and for receptiveness to the steps that give us the tools to go on and have a better life.
