Aloha Ohana...Hello Family...and I'm thinking about you all and wishing that for the moment you are all feeling at your best and loving it and others around you...Pass it On!!  Bill reminded us and isn't this the day to do so for alcoholic and not.

It's raining here good.  Liquid sunshine we have called it only it is now after dark (and still raining) and I'm on the "puter" while my spouse is watching her favoring home town college getting waxed by the opposition in the Aloha Bowl...I'm tiptoeing around her just to be respectful (lol).  Everything is quiet and calm and I'm loving it while I'm remembering the past when it wasn't this way and what happened along the way to bring us till now.  Mahalo Akua, thank you HP, for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me and every other alcoholic who has found his/her way out of the rain; and snow and into the warmth of the meeting rooms of AA.  I am so grateful to be able to see the world with a newer set of glasses and as Zoom mentioned find lakes that were never seen before while the drinking was going on.  I relate and I'm in awe with what I now experience.

Mostly still I am in awe of the love and support of the fellowship...those I get to wrap my arms around and or pat on the back and or hold their hand while we recite whatever closing prayer we do at the end of our groups, especially mine which is right at shore-side Pacific Ocean...Saturday and Sunday mornings.  Mine is all a guided journey still.  Akua, my Higher Power leads me still,  Places me where Akua wants me and then tells me the next right thing to do.  This is so mysterious for me...just as mysterious as some of the things I did when I was under the influence and didn't know how I got into the mess I was in.

I was once told in the program that "The life I have is God's gift for me; what I do with it is my gift to God".  What a powerful thought force and how awesome that I could ever give back any thing of the same value as what has been given to me.  Humbling...very humbling.  "When anyone anywhere reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA to always be there and let it begin with me".   Mahalo Ohana...Thanks Family for always being there for me and loving me unconditionally that I might also do the same.

Akua give these special people everything you would desire to give those who are special to you and who you love unconditionally.   Mahalo nui loa.   amene.

(((((hugs))))) smile

Thanks for that wonderful post Jerry.

I have just had the most wonderful Christmas with my family. Wonderful weather, great food, loving family, it's such a privilage to be here. It is the time of year I am most grateful to be sober. So I wish you and all my MIP family the very best for Christmas and the new year.

God bless,
MikeH.

thanks Jerry, Merry Christmas to you. Mrs. Dean and I will be headed to Maui in May. If I can find an inexpensive way to get over to Hilo, I'd like to visit you. Got any ideas?
