Crimmy, ... I don't think so ... I prefer to see that stuff on the 'Discovery' channel ... LOL ... Who's the Aussie that was that 'nature dude' ??? ...

His favorite expression was 'Crimmy' ... and he wrestled alligators and crocs and died playing with a 'sting-ray' ... crap, I can't remember his name ... but I loved his shows ...

No, it was 'cricky', with a long i ... ... ... oh gees, I don't remember ...

No kidding though, Australia would be my number one choice to go visit if I were to ever become a world traveler ... I love nature and ya'll got a wide variety of it both inland and off shore ...

Okay, I was gone for about a month to work at my son's house ... (for those of you who don't know, my 32 y/o son is quadriplegic, and I frequently go and do new renovations to his house to accomodate his dissability ....) ...

So, it goes without say'n, my chores at home were left undone ... when I got back, I was faced with a yard full of leaves that was sure to be choking my grass to death ... okay, priority one, rake and burn the leaves ... so it rains the next day, and then the day after that ... then it gets freak'n cold and windy ...

Okay, I watched the forcast and found it was going to be dry and 55 degrees yesterday, so I planned to get some work done ... got the lawn tractor out, hooked up the trailer, found my rake and shovel, and went to work ... I'm thinking this will require a few days to accomplish, so I got to it ... about an hour later, I'm starting to think, wow, I'm doing great and making a lot of progress, I'm just glad it's not raining ... ... ... WELL, ya'll know what happened next don't you ??? ... yep, it started raining, yep, the 10% chance of rain was right over my freak'n house ...

So I looked into the sky and said ... 'very funny up there, cause I know you're sitting up there laughing your head off at my big plan for the day' ...

Man Plans, God Laughs!!!

okay, the day wasn't a total loss ... I quit and went to a meeting that turned out to have more than double the attendence ... why is that? ... holidays? ... it was a great meeting ... after the meeting, I got cornered by this new guy that looked to be a very troubled 45 y/o, ... so we sat down and had a long talk ...

Love you guys,

Pappy

P.S.   Just thought ya'll would find that amusing!!!

Yeah, I guess Minn. and Wis. are okay until Canada 'poops' out one of those arctic 'cold fronts' ... talk about having to shovel up after the dog, that only takes a second compared to all the white stuff ya'll get ... LOL

Christine - that's funny you should say that, because I posted about our last big storm with 14 inches of snow on here... lol... you guys must have gotten that whole dumping too right? We usually look to see what's happening by you because we are next in line for it.

That was bad! I love a good storm if I don"t need to go anywhere though. I don't think I could live anywhere without 4 seasons.

Hey, Hey, Hey, ... Georgia has four seasons ... ... ... it just doesn't ever get down to the -38 degrees I saw once when living in Colo. ... And, in Colo., we had a 39 inch snow one time ... early 70's ... Maybe it's cause I'm getting old, but I'd like to move down to where Dean lives I think ... the snakes wouldn't bother me but the alligators might ...

I could still build a fire and 'pretend' it's cold outside ... and I could have my own orange trees ...

I've been down in GA with Pappy for the last 12 years, Ohio before that.

I just got all my leaves up a couple days ago.....kind of strange doing that at Christmas.

I can't deal with wet leaves Rob ... rained again today as you well know, AND we're looking at severe weather tomorrow ... I was going to ask you to bring your rake with you when I invited you for coffee, but I guess the good Lord has other plans ... LOL ... now their saying we may get a little snow behind the thunderstorms, tomorrow into Wednesday ... Oh well, ... I guess the bright side is dead grass don't need no mow'n ...

Yes Roger, sobriety has brought you wisdom!

Wet leaves are a waste of time,  better to stay inside and work on acceptance!

It's moments like these that make me proud to be in recovery. Thanks, Roger, for the reminder.
