I've been using this board and AA inappropriately. Rather than coming to share experience, strength and hope I've come here to vent, argue and rationalize my behaviour. I don't think that I'm helpful to others here with my current attitude. Quite the opposite actually. Which is sad because I have a deeply profound connection and love for you all. So I am embarking on a new journey. I am going to shut my mouth, do the work and rebuild myself. When I'm healthy and have something positive to bring to the table I may pop in again and say hello. I promise that I will no longer be making my bi-yearly shit-stirring appearances. Until then I want to say thank you. Often you folks have been my only place to turn and I feel so much gratitude to you all for that. I'm not leaving sad or hurt...I'm leaving determined and inspired. One day I'll make you all proud...just you wait and see :)
Sounds good Tipsy. When you come back, just give us some credit for sticking with a program that works for us, and its a program that we wish and pray will work for you. Tom

Take care of yourself, a true sign of growth is your ability to know your shares may not be beneficial for newcomers or others in general. WE are not lemmings being led over a cliff by a Pied -eyed Piper,I truly believe the many here working their own process a day at a time believe staying in the 'Solution: guided by their Higher Powers and sharing the HOW of the program works (keep it on me here) I can only suggest that you get to your own 'exact nature" you don't have to make me proud seek the love of yourself as your Higher Power loves you..... Your feelings are what they are and our process is about change in our attitudes and behaviors,a life long process.WE remember that our message of recovery is meaningless unless we actually LIVE it and as we live it our lives and actions give it more meaning than our words and writings ever could.Peace man,,,see ya on the backside...

You're always welcome here TM. I've always viewed your visits as some needed comic relief. Don't beat yourself up and think that we think badly about your membership here, it's quite the contrary. Keep coming back.
Merry Christmas, Tipsy. I hope you don't stay away for too very long. :)

I should say welcome back as your post is already saying something positive and I am proud of you for what you have said. I read in your post a spiritual awakening - thinking of others instead of yourself. And the spiritual awakening can and often is small steps. Your post also reads to me that you are grasping a program of recovery step one stuff. Also take a look at the promises and see if it looks like some of those are being fulfilled in your life.
