Awesome! Congrats Dan on 36 big ones. My mom's 37th is next month, and I actually attended my first AA meeting in the summer of '76 right after getting out of the county jail for a drunk in public at 16.

As of last Wednesday October 17th thanks to the help of God as I understand Him, AA and the big book I have 36 years of continous sobriety.  Couldn't be happier, life is more that I ever dreamed it could be those many years back.

It works if you work it.

Old but feeling young.  It did take me 3 times to hit the right button to quote instead of reply.  Sign of oldcry

I was just thinkin' ... ... ... for me to reach 36 years sober .... I have to NOT die before the age of 91 ... and not drink, of course ... damn ...

October 17th 1976...just about as good a day as any to get sober...Glad you picked it Dan and then brought it here to share with us.  Where I'm from we respect our elders and call them "Uncle" except of course when they are "Auntie"...I'll leave it with Uncle here and say Mahalo for bringing your sobriety.  ((((hugs)))) smile

Congratulations Dan. Glad to see you keep giving it away, a great example for us.
