What a wonderful gift, Colleen -especially now.  You've changed so much during the last 108 days that even your friend has taken notice. Wow, that's incredibly awesome. Just imagine what the next 108 days can yield.  It can only get better from here, right Colleen? So, keep that momentum going for now. More will be revealed in time, we promise.

Hey all:) 108 days sober..wow. I questioned whether or not it were possible for me to live sober for many years before the necessary (for me) divine intervention that gave me the strength to do it. I started off strong-'pink cloud' or whatever, and have gone up, down, sideways haha! Ive been wrestling with the (self imposed) issue of whether or not I've made 'enough' progress. Here's my answer... A friend of mine whom has been out of the country since before I got sober very recently returned. We chatted, and she invited me to join her for 'a glass of wine' ( it was never, never, never a single glass lol). I simply told her that I no longer drink, and haven't for over 3 months. She's a good enough friend that she accepts this simple answer without prying. She then says " yes, i wanted to tell you that you seem SO MUCH HAPPIER. I mean, you just seem so calm and happy". Now, I was never a person that one would describe as happy- I was always in some form of turmoil- dark and brooding. ME?!? Happy?? Damn right!!!:) that's the only sign of 'making progress' that I need.
