I just got home from my first meeting with my sponsor. She is really awesome. We read chapter one of the twelve steps. We went over each paragraph stopping to reflect and share our thoughts. We had great conversations. Tonight I got just a glimmer of what you all call the fellowship or should I say we. How could one person give so much of their own time to help me. How could someone care so much to help?

This is the attitude and motivation that has kept AA alive all these years ... A miracle unto itself!!!

When we take the 12 steps and have that spiritual awkining, a whole lot of crap is removed so God can work his love though us. Thats what you felt, and its a two way street.your sponsor felt it too, im sure. I dont know about anyone else but it was what i was looking for at the bottom of the bottle. And i will do what ever i have to do to keep getting it cause i know it will go away if i dont show up to do His will. Right on kathy.
